  • Overview

This interactive, bespoke workshop will give you considerable insight into performance management in public services based on a culture of innovation improvement and learning, rather than a top-down blame culture. It will enable you to use strategy mapping, the balanced scorecard and the Public Sector Scorecard. The latter is an integrated service improvement and performance management framework for the public and third sectors, which has been used in Canada, Chile, and South Africa, as well as in Europe.

Delegates will be encouraged to consider the issues from the viewpoint of their own organisation. The workshop will cover the following topics:

  • Quality and performance management in the public and third sectors
  • Eleven essentials of performance measurement
  • Developing a culture of innovation, improvement and learning
  • The balanced scorecard and strategy mapping
  • The Public Sector Scorecard
  • Issues in measuring performance

The workshop will be led by Max Moullin, Director of the Public Sector Scorecard Research Centre and visiting fellow at Sheffield Business School.
