Dr Jekaterina Rogaten

Jekaterina joined the Open University in November 2015 as a research associate to work on the ABC longitudinal mixed method Learning Gains project. Recently Jekaterina also joined IDEAS project that examines students’ learning progress in distance education university in South African (UNISA), and EVALUATE project that examines effectiveness of educational intervention that aims to develop digital and language skills and competences of future teachers in EU countries. In addition, Jekaterina holds a lectureship position at the London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London, where she teachers applied positive psychology.

Jekaterina’s main research interests are in application of positive psychology in education and business environments. She is in particular interested in learning gains, performance, progress, creative cognition, metacognition, flow and emotions. She is a quantitative researcher who is particularly interested in modelling of longitudinal data and as such takes particular interest in learning analytics.
