  • Bio

Richard Andrews is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Healios.

Having close family and friends who’ve suffered from mental illness and dementia, Richard experienced first-hand the challenge of accessing support for both those affected by the illness and the families involved. In 2013, he founded Healios to transform how care is delivered – helping people with mental illness, families and carers effectively move forward and achieve their goals – providing a better quality of life.

Richard has deep knowledge and experience of healthcare environments gained from various executive roles at some of the world’s largest blue chip healthcare organisations, that also involved living abroad for more than seven years in the US and Switzerland. Richard is a healthcare advisor to The Economist and has been the recipient of ‘Best UK Mental Health Executive Award’ and ‘Excellence Award for Suicide Prevention Initiatives’.

His passion for combining overall well-being, science and technology has led him to develop innovative services to empower people to live healthier lives. Healios is the UK’s leading digital healthcare company, bringing the whole family together to maximise long-term outcomes and well-being. Healios is transforming mental health services by providing quicker diagnosis, faster access to evidence-based psychological therapies, and earlier intervention to create a unique online experience.
