  • Overview

The NHS, a cornerstone of the UK's healthcare system, is faced with significant challenges relating to the mental health of its workforce. This one-day conference seeks to provide a platform for open discussion, shared learning and collaborative problem-solving regarding this pressing issue.

This event will bring together leaders, academics and influencers from the NHS, local government and universities, uniting diverse perspectives and areas of expertise. Through a series of sessions, we will delve into key areas such as the role of stigma in mental health issues, the importance of cultivating a healthy workplace culture, strategies to address burnout and the pivotal role of leadership.

Attendees can look forward to engaging keynotes, informative sessions, enlightening case studies and opportunities for networking and discussion. Our keynote speakers will open and close the conference with insightful addresses on the state of mental health within the NHS workforce and future trends and initiatives in mental health support.

The day will be divided into seven distinct sessions, each focusing on a critical aspect of mental health within the NHS. Each session will include presentations from three eminent speakers who will shed light on the session's topic from different angles, providing a well-rounded perspective.

Our aim is to not only shed light on the pressing mental health issues within the NHS workforce but also to identify practical strategies and innovative solutions for improving mental health, thereby aiding in the retention and recruitment of NHS staff. We believe that improving mental health in the workplace is a collective responsibility and this conference is a step towards encouraging that collective action.

By the end of the conference, we aspire for each participant to leave with a heightened understanding of the issues, actionable insights and a renewed commitment to enhancing mental health within the NHS. It's time to build a resilient NHS workforce and this conference is a stride in that direction.
