Adrienne Betteley is Specialist Advisor for End of Life Care for Macmillan Cancer Support. Adrienne has worked in Macmillan for 8 years and her role is UK wide, providing expertise and advice both internally and externally. Adrienne is co-chair of the Ambitions Partnership for Palliative and End of Life Care and she also sits on the National End of Life Care Programme Board for England. Adrienne also spent 4 ½ years as a Trustee at St. Luke’s Cheshire Hospice for 4 ½ years.


Prior to joining Macmillan, Adrienne has a long history of working in End of Life Care in Primary Care Trusts, Strategic Health Authorities and Cancer Networks across the North West of England. Adrienne trained originally as a nurse and Specialist Practitioner in District Nursing and she spent most of her clinical time working as a District Nursing Sister and Practice Educator.
