Billy is Hft’s Public Affairs & Policy Manager. Billy’s role involves monitoring government policy around social care and disability issues, and ensuring the voices of Hft, its staff and the people it supports are heard in those debates. Billy also works on developing partnerships and opportunities to extend Hft’s influence amongst policymakers, researchers and other stakeholders in the learning disability sector. In July 2019, Billy co-authored Hft’s first policy paper Improving Outcomes, Enhancing Care: Assistive Technologies and the case for a Sector Deal for the learning disability sector.
