Clare Wade

Clare trained as an Operating Department Practitioner in 1996 and worked throughout Yorkshire and the East Midlands in most surgical and anaesthetic specialties and endoscopy.
Clare then led the maternal death enquiry and other associated work with CEMACH for 5 years prior to working for East Midlands Ambulance Service leading patient experience and the PALS Team.
As the Head of Patient Safety at the Royal College of Physicians, Clare currently leads a portfolio of work including mortality reviews and NEWS2.
Clare lives in East Lancashire with her husband and dog where they rescue and rehabilitate horses.
