Damian is currently working for both Merseyside Youth Association and for YoungMinds in the capacity of a trainer and a consultant, working across a number of areas such as Parent Particaption in CAMHS, BOND with an emphasis on Looked After Children and Young Offenders.

He has significant experience within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services in various and diverse roles such as: Liverpool PCT (CAMHS), Commissioner and Principal Mental Health Development Manager of Merseyside Youth Association Ltd where he still works developing a Children and Young Peoples Mental Health Promotion Service. A central part of Damian’s work has been the writing and delivery of training courses in relation to Child and Adolescent Mental Health.

Damian is the principal author of ‘Mad, Bad or Misunderstood?’ and more recently a Conference titled ‘Equality Throughout CAMHS’ and a ‘CAMHS Masterclass’ which provides a comprehensive overview of CAMHS and information as to how to make a successful CAMHS referral. He develops relevant training courses on a variety of issues in relation to children and young people’s mental health and he has been the script writer of various films and animations such as:
