Dan is responsible for leading the design, sourcing, and delivery of NHS Digitals Data Security Centre’s programme of work. He and his team works with users, industry-specialists and other key stakeholders to define, design, and commission new capabilities for cyber security services that drive better cyber preparedness, security, and resiliency for enhanced patient outcomes across health and care. Dan has over eight years in the cyber and security industry working on a variety of national and international programmes across the public and private sector. This has included the design and delivery of a national cyber and intelligence programme; the development of analyst tools; and the development of cyber security strategies for governments and private sector organisations across financial services, utilities and energy, legal, and telecommunication organisations. Prior to joining NHS Digital, Dan worked at a leading technology consulting organisation where he was the lead for security strategy and risk for government clients in the UK. This role included the development of national level cyber strategies and operating models, as well as the delivery of complex programmes and projects to a number of large diverse organisations.
