Ellie is Head of Delivery for The Tackling Child Exploitation (TCE) Support Programme which is a Department for Education funded consortium programme led by Research in Practice with The Children’s Society and the University of Bedfordshire. Since 2019, the programme has been supporting local areas across England to improve strategic responses to child exploitation and extra-familial harm. The programme takes an evidence-informed approach, drawing on research, practice wisdom and expertise by experience to offer high support and high challenge to support local partnership tackle child exploitation and extra-familial harm. As Head of Delivery, Ellie is responsible for overseeing the delivery of Bespoke Support Projects nationally, ensuring quality and identifying themes and trends from the sector. Previous to this role Ellie has worked to develop Child Exploitation and Missing from Home and Care services and strategies since 2015 within the voluntary and statutory sector. Areas of specialism include developing and supporting partnership working, particularly the inclusion of non-typical safeguarding partners and incorporating the views of lived experiences to inform service responses/support offers and strategic activity.
