Having worked for over 20 years in universities, Géraldine has set up Therapeutic Consultation where she offers coaching, training, consultancy, therapy and supervision specialising in issues related to HE.
Géraldine Dufour is the Vice-Chair of the Mental Wellbeing in Higher Education Expert Group (MWBHE) at Advance HE, a past Chair of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Universities & Colleges Division as well as the national group for Heads of University Counselling Services (HUCS) and the Chair of the Academic Committee of China-UK University Counselling Association.
In her recent role of Head of Counselling at the University of Cambridge, Géraldine oversaw the provision of psychological support for the collegiate university, leading a team of over 40 counsellors, CBT therapists, university sexual harassment/assault and mental health advisors. Géraldine taught on the MA in Counselling programmes at Leicester and Birmingham Universities, and is a visiting professor at Fudan and Tongji Universities in Shanghai. She is a member on several national committees related to student mental health and wellbeing, speaking at national conferences as well as a contributing to mental health research.
