Gil is a registered nurse and midwife, with 35 years’ experience of working in clinical and leadership roles in primary and secondary care. She was Head of Nursing (workforce and integration) in a Clinical Commissioning Group prior to joining NHS England in 2017. In her current role Gil has a pan-north region oversight role for a programme of work with colleagues in the NHS and care sector to improve the quality of care, reduce admissions to hospital and reduce delayed transfers of care. Gil supports roll out of the Capacity Tracker across the north.
