Helen has been a Consultant Anaesthetist at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust since 2001 and is a Senior Clinical Research Fellow in the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Oxford.
She is Director of OxSTaR, the University of Oxford’s Simulation Centre, (http://www.oxstar.ox.ac.uk/) and lead for Simulation and Technology Enhanced Learning in the OUHT. She is co-director of the Patient Safety Academy providing training and support to healthcare professionals in the application of human factors to improve quality and safety across HEE-TV. She is a current executive member and immediate past president of the Association for Simulated Practice in Healthcare in the UK.
