Jane was appointed as NICE's first Associate Director for Social Care in October 2012. She was involved in developing NICE’s quality standard on supporting people to live well with dementia, and in the development of guidance on older people’s care and support across health and social care.

Jane has many years of experience working in local government and the voluntary sector, carrying out and managing policy, research, performance improvement and information management functions supporting health and social care and wider social policy areas.
