Julie works for Health Education England within a role that supports and advises with Healthcare and education providers across London. Julie started working in the NHS back in 2000; she began her NHS career as a paediatric nurse, going on to become an intensive care nurse. She has been involved in workforce education and training in the NHS since 2010, developing the multi-professional workforce for current and future models of care. Julie currently sits on the HEE patient safety board with responsibility for implementing the NHS patient safety syllabus across London with NHS providers. She is passionate about the role of education in developing a safe and effective healthcare system for all. She strives to lead by creating a positive, collaborative culture through the development of a system that supports the workforce to achieve their potential to deliver high quality safe care.
