Laura works as an Advanced Community Practitioner (ACP) in a Rapid Response service. She works as part of a successful team that were shortlisted in the Nursing Times Awards and the Patient Experience Network Awards last year for their innovative practice.
Laura has 15 years experience of working for the NHS, initially as a physiotherapist, more recently as Advanced Community Practitioner. Since qualifying she has obtained an MSc Advanced Practice and PgC in Falls and Osteoporosis, and is hoping to start her PhD soon. Laura is one of small but growing amount of physiotherapists working at an advanced practice level outside the speciality of musculoskeletal medicine. She has had her work published in journals, spoken at several conferences and guest lectures at the University of Chester regularly. Laura is passionate about the development of her profession and advanced practice.
