Luke is a Senior Charge Nurse in the Emergency Department in Homerton University Hospital and has been qualified for just over 7 years. Although a full time clinical member of staff, his passion is to improve processes within the area he works. This has stemmed from a mistake that he made when he first came to the trust and has been a passion of his since. As a result of this, Luke is heavily involved in “non-clinical” activities within his department on many different subjects, from Medication Safety, Urology, Frailty and the HUH Action Card App. He feels as his career has blossomed, so has the app, which makes him very proud and eager to share this story with the wider healthcare community.
