Maria is International Director of Training (Children & Young People) at Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI).

Before joining CPI in January 2020, Maria spent 17 years in various positions of increasing responsibility at a residential special academy, catering for children with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).

While there she became an instructor of various CPI programmes and completed a BSc in Health & Social Care Restraint Reduction, developed in conjunction with the CPI and the University of Wolverhampton.
