Pauline has worked in research management for over 25 years in a range of roles in 6 different institutions. Her most recent role was as Director of Research Services at the University of Leicester where she was responsible for pre- and post-award, research governance, integrity and ethics, commercial contracts, doctoral college, research development and research strategy and policy, including institutional preparations for REF 2021.
Since 2018, she has been working with the Research England REF team as a Panel Adviser on a part-time basis. Through this role, she has attended main and sub panel meetings, advising and supporting chairs and members of the panels, as well as drafting elements of the REF guidance documents.
Pauline is actively engaged with ARMA (Association of Research Managers and Administrators), providing training and acting as an assessor for the professional qualifications.
Pauline is now an independent consultant working in all areas of research management.
