SELRAP is a community campaign group working to extend the Airedale line (running from Leeds and terminating at Skipton) from Skipton to Colne, allowing the local population in East Lancashire to travel straight into the economic heart of the region, Leeds - providing significant local economic opportunities.
The Skipton East Lancashire Rail Action Plan is a non-political organisation that enjoys cross-party political support. SELRAP receives strong support from all eight MPs representing constituencies along the route; as well as being backed by leading industry figures such as Drax and district, city and combined local authorities including Bradford City Council, Lancashire County Council and West Yorkshire Combined Authority.
