Shaun Webster, MBE, is a parent and a grand-parent with a learning disability.
He has been an international project worker for CHANGE since 2003.
In this time, he has worked on projects tackling issues experienced by people with a learning disability and autism such as parenting, making information accessible, and employment.
Through the training he delivers internationally, he changes attitudes, and raises awareness on peer-to-peer support, role-modelling, co-working models and self-advocacy.
He has currently been working on a keeping safe online project, creating an easy to read information booklet in collaboration with young adults with a learning disability.
Shaun is a firm-believer in making information accessible for everyone in health care and employment. He believes in asking the right questions, giving good support and clear communication. He believes in giving people with learning disabilities the confidence and opportunity to have a strong voice in issues that affect them.
