Dr Tim Gore is Chief Executive Officer of the University of London Institute in Paris. He has held senior leadership positions in career postings in France, UK, India, Jordan, Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong and as a teacher in Egypt and Sudan. He has a wide range of experience in higher education; cultural relations; diplomacy and commercial enterprise. His main research expertise is strategy applied within higher educational contexts but he combines this with a wide liberal background in physics, history, archaeology and linguistics and uses this multi-disciplinary background as a platform for his writing and speaking roles. He has worked closely with a range of government organisations in the countries he has served and was awarded the OBE for his work in India-UK bilateral relations while he was leading the British Council’s education work in India. Most recently, he was a member of a French Prime-Ministerial working group on internationalisation of the French higher education system. Tim speaks French and Arabic.
