Michael Sanders is a Professor of Public Policy and Director of the Experimental Government Team within the Policy Institute at King’s College London. He is also chair of trustees of the Nightline Association, the umbrella body for Nightlines - volunteer-led, non-judgemental services for students across the United Kingdom. He was previously Chief Executive of What Works for Children’s Social Care, and the first Chief Scientist of the Behavioural Insights Team.

His research is focused on how we can use data, evidence, and behavioural science to improve outcomes for vulnerable and disadvantaged people across society.
