Tio was born and raised in Croydon, and then found herself on the other side of the country for university. She now lives and works in the much-feared North with her husband, working as a pensions professional and an authorised lay minister with the CofE.

She is an advocate for survivors of sexual abuse, running a support group for adult survivors of CSA, and is an accredited MHFAider and Orange Button holder. Tio likes to platform those survivors willing to share their stories and aims to create practical solutions to the ongoing legal and social issues survivors face.
