  • Bio

I was inspired to qualify as a teacher while working as a research scientist delivering an outreach programme for schools and universities. I taught across the primary phase, specialising in supporting vulnerable pupils and their families, particularly autistic young people.
I joined Child Bereavement UK in 2018 to provide support across the education sector for professionals working with bereaved young people. This includes developing training courses and online resources, speaking at education events, contributing to research projects, and raising awareness of bereavement across the sector. I have designed content for several award-winning online resources in collaboration with LGfL. The most recent resource to launch is Bereavement and pupils with SEND, which provides support to professionals working in mainstream and specialist settings.
I have delivered bereavement training, both face-to-face and online, to more than 20000 professionals.
