Charlotte Monnickendam

Charlotte has over a decade of experience in psychology and mental health. Charlotte joined Cerina a London-based digital therapeutics startup 3 years ago and was part of the core team that developed a digital intervention to treat anxiety disorders.

She holds MSc degrees in Global Mental Health and International Healthcare Management and has experience working in clinical environments at rethink mental illness taking on a role as mental healthcare worker.

An advocate for student mental well-being, she conducted a health economics study on a school-based intervention for Sangath, a leading public mental health NGO in India. Additionally, she contributed to the evaluation of the Innate Health Education and Resilience Training (iHEART) program, which focuses on fostering resilience among secondary school students.

Her experiences have fuelled her passion for addressing the increasing demand for mental health services and has led her to focus on building accessible and affordable interventions to combat the treatment gap.
