Chris has worked for the NHS for 18 years, starting his employment with the North West Ambulance Service. He progressed to full state registered Paramedic and later went on to become an Ambulance Liaison Officer at Salford Royal Hospital leading in service improvement prior to his switch to the Greater Manchester Stroke Operational Delivery Network (GMSODN). Chris has strong links with Edge Hill University as a guest lecturer on their Paramedic programme lecturing in stroke and pathways of care and now has an associate position at MMU lecturing on the “Evidence based approach to Acute Stroke Management” masters module. His role as the GMSODN Coordinator involves engaging with stakeholders throughout the stroke pathway and takes lead on many service improvement projects. Chris has a keen eye for data and works with teams throughout the region helping them understand and improve audit data for both the acute and community settings.
