Eve qualified from the School of Medicine at the University of Leeds in 2018 and completed her foundation training in the Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust from 2018-2020. She then spent a year as a Junior Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine at The Royal Oldham Hospital from 2020-2021, where she began the signing project she is presenting. Eve has a special interest in Down Syndrome and improving access to healthcare for people with disabilities and has spent the last 9 months working full-time to this end. As a certified Signalong tutor and fully trained Makaton user, she has used some of this time to deliver signing training to health professionals and raise awareness about the significant role signing plays in aiding communication based on personal and professional experience.
