  • Bio

Eve is Programme Director for care.data, a programme of work that aims to increase the range and detail of information that is collected across all NHS-funded services for purposes beyond direct care. The plan is to securely connect information together and make it available to those who plan NHS services, researchers, medical charities and businesses that support the NHS to make services better. The first phase of the care.data programme is to collect and securely connect information from hospitals and GP practices. Eve is based at the Health and Social Care Information Centre in Leeds and is working in partnership with colleagues from NHS England to deliver the programme.

Eve has over 14 years of experience in programme delivery, with a breadth of experience that takes in all aspects of the programme management lifecycle from stakeholder engagement, business case development, procurement and supplier management, to software development and managed closure. Before taking up her position as Programme Director for care.data she held various positions in NHS Connecting for Health, including leading the work to develop the future strategy for informatics in the NHS post the 2010 election. She also led the development and approval of the business case to deliver the first clinical IT system across prison healthcare in England and was part of the team which delivered Choose and Book, an electronic referrals service for GPs to refer patients to hospitals.

Eve started her career as a management consultant at Deloitte where she worked at Transport for London on the successful delivery of the London congestion charging scheme.

When she is not at work Eve enjoys running with her local running club, Harrogate Harriers, and spending time with her young family.
