Jeannie Henderson is State Registered Paramedic. She has been qualified as a paramedic since 1990 and worked on a rapid response unit before leaving operational duties in 2010, to take up the role as Clinical Practice Manager for the North East Ambulance Service. Whilst in the role of Clinical Practice Manager she also responded on the Cardiac Arrest Car (CARU) and had a particular interest in End of Life care. She left North East Ambulance Service in 2015 to take up a new role of Commissioning Manager with Sunderland CCG.. She attended Northumbria University where she gained a BSc (Hons) and MSc in Clinical Practice Development. In 2016 she worked on a service improvement project which involved introduction the National Early Warning Scoring system into care homes, which won a prestigious HSJ award. She has recently provided support to the Sunderland CCG Ambulatory Care programme of work where Paramedic Pathfinder has been an important element.
She currently splits her time between Sunderland CCG undertaking service reform and working as an Advanced Practitioner in a local GP practice
