John Egan is National Director of England for Action for Children one of the largest UK children’s charities. John started his career as a secondary school teacher, before moving to youth justice and learning and skills consultancy. Prior to Action for Children he has various senior roles including leading a regional youth homelessness charity and setting up the Institute for Local Governance at Durham University. John’s current portfolio is diverse including permanence and mental health services across the nation. He is committed to campaigning on for the right of every child to have a safe, stable and loving home.
