Les leads the Operational Management of regional charity, ASGMA, which supports people on the autistic spectrum. ASGMA also provide services, guidance and support to families, carers and associated professionals.
As Operations Manager Les leads a team of keyworkers and support workers to ensure that ASGMA members are able to unlock their potential in a non-judgemental environment. ASGMA creates opportunities for growth through a range of social and skills based activities throughout the Greater Manchester area
Having started his early social care career as a volunteer for Liverpool Social Partnership, Les has a real understanding of the front-line challenges of delivering social care excellence. More latterly, whilst working as Programmes and Development Manager for Sefton Borough Council, Les has developed a detailed understanding of strategic service development and commissioning within substance misuse, mental health and criminal justice and learning disabilities areas. Les is passionate about service user engagement and involvement and has won a number of awards for his work.
