Lesley has worked with the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) since 2010. She has delivered a variety of programmes into different organisations such as health and social care settings for adults and children’s services.
She also delivers our programmes specifically designed for C&YP to schools and colleges around the UK the Republic of Ireland and as far as Beijing, China and Singapore.
Lesley has a Diploma in Welfare Studies, including psychology sociology and counselling and a BSc in Restraint Reduction from Wolverhampton University. These qualifications, plus others, have helped to shape and inform her practice. 
Lesley’s professional background is working within children’s services for a local authority as a Principal Registered Care Manager. After much success in improving the outcomes for the young people and having several Outstanding rated homes, Lesley started her own company and was a consultant for children’s services, developed their policy and procedures and independently inspected the services for quality.
She has over 20 years’ experience of working with challenging young people and their families and has motivated/ empowered teams of staff to ensure they use their skills to manage behaviour and ensure a consistent, calm, adult approach.
