Dr Steve Lloyd is a GP Partner in North East Derbyshire, prior to this being a maxillofacial surgeon to consultant level. He was elected Chair of the North East Independent Consortium which he led through to statutory function as Hardwick Clinical Commissioning Group in 2012 and has been re-elected twice since as Chair and Senior Clinical Lead. He has been clinical lead for the East Midlands urgent ambulance contract for 5 years and interim 111 lead also.
He is Chair of the South Yorkshire Urgent and Emergency Care Network, and is a member of East Midlands Clinical Senate Council.
Outside of medicine, he is a Trustee and a chief expedition leader for British Exploring Society at the Royal Geographical Society and was until recently a reserve RAF officer.
He is also a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and a Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society.
