Janette is the Executive Director of Manchester Care and Repair, an independent charity and Home Improvement Agency delivering services which promote the independence and wellbeing of older people across the City of Manchester. Prior to joining Manchester Care & Repair in February 2007, Janette held a senior management role within Black Country Housing Group and managed four Care & Repair agencies in the West Midlands.
Janette has long recognised the key role that an older person’s home environment can play in helping to maintain independence and promote wellbeing and aims to bridge the gap between housing and health by delivering services which are not only highly valued by clients but whose impact can also be clearly evidenced to commissioners.
Manchester Care & Repair’s health commissioned Home from Hospital and Assisted Discharge Support services were a primary factor in them being named as Foundations Home Improvement Agency of the Year 2015.
