Laura Richardson is a qualified social worker with over 15 years direct frontline experience in a variety of areas including Learning Disability, Adult Services, Mental Health, and Continuing HealthCare.
Laura has worked for West Sussex for approximately 6 years and was asked to set up and develop the Safeguarding Adults Hub in 2019 and was the front-line Team Manager for three years.
The Safeguarding Adults hub was nominated in 2021 to the first National Safeguarding Adults Board Excellence Awards and the team has been nominated again in 2022.
Laura has recently changed roles and is currently the Service Manager for Access in West Sussex (single front door for all referrals coming to West Sussex for assessments). The Safeguarding Hub is part of the ‘Access’ service.
