I was a looked after child from ages 9 - 18 although social services have always been a part of my childhood. i came from a very chaotic background with parents who also had their own mental health issues and drug abuse history. i was sectioned under the mental health act aged 15 after some serious self harm incidents and a mental health breakdown in school which stopped me from achieving any GCSES’s, i’ve been homeless and addicted to drugs. but now i’m a home owner and a Social Care Worker for young Vulnerable adults and i share my personal experiences, in care and later on in life. as well as educate Looked After Children / Care Workers looking after children / Young adults to transition into care via Lookedafterchild.com
