Liz is a Professional Officer with BASW (British Association of Social Workers) England and a qualified and registered social worker.
In her current role she is the lead officer supporting the adult social work group at BASW England and she leads on the Homes not Hospitals workstream concerned with upholding the human rights of people with learning disabilities and autistic people.
Since qualifying as a social worker in 2000 from Sheffield Hallam University, Liz has held a variety of practice, development and leadership roles in social work. She has worked across the country in a range of different settings working with adults, families and communities.
Liz qualified as a Best Interest Assessor in 2009 and undertake independent work as a Court of Protection Officer.
