Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust Recovery Academy is an educational resource for people who work with people experiencing mental health difficulties, and service users and carers themselves.

The Academy offers two prospectuses every year (Spring/Summer Term and Autumn/Winter Term) with over 65 courses aimed at promoting awareness of different mental health conditions and ways to support people. Over 7,500 students are registered with the Recovery Academy, 50% of which are health and social care professionals, and 50% of which are service users and their families/carers.  All courses are co-produced and co-delivered between people with lived experience of mental health difficulties, and professionals from GMMH and partner organisations.

They are all open to everyone as the emphasis is on shared learning, respecting with equal importance, lived expertise and professional expertise. GMMH Recovery Academy also offers bespoke training in mental health and recovery to other organisations.
